The Paisley Afro-Caribbean Carnival took place on Saturday, 9th August 2014. The Carnival’s highlight was a colourful parade from Paisley’s West End to Barshaw Park. Renfrewshire Council was represented on the Parade by Depute Provost John Caldwell and led by the beating of the Charlston Drummer, Tony Lawler. The Park played host to stalls, funfair rides and a main music and dance stage, and the crowds were entertained by a number of acts including Mr Zip of BTG fame and Misha B.
