	PAISLEY

There’s a lot happening in and around Paisley over the next few weeks.

This Saturday, 20th August there is the annual Fire Engine Rally in Paisley, commencing with a parade of fire engines from throughout the ages which departs from the Fire Station in Canal Street and makes its way to County Square.

Saturday, 20th August is also the date for the annual Wallace Day March which starts in the centre of Johnstone and makes its way to the Wallace Memorial in Elderslie. The March starts at 2pm.

On Sunday, 21st August, the Scottish Cycling Championships takes place in the centre of Paisley. Previously held in Erskine the event has proved so popular that it has been moved to Paisley to command a wider audience. Racing throughout the day commencing at 10am.

Then , on Sunday, 28th August the Paisley 10k Run takes place through the street of Paisley. Setting off from County Square the runners wind their way round some of Paisley’s historic buildings before finishing back at County Square.

Famous Buddies:
David Sneddon won Fame Academy. After initially being rejected for the show , David replaced a contestant and won through, despite judges' reservation, due in no small part to his infectious personality and excellent song-writing.He has now re-launched his career in a new band, Sham.
